Commemorating the 10th anniversary of the first signing of the century-old BMW and PXC (3) Change Project

Since the first license signing between BMW and PXC, BMW has launched the 11year comprehensive support for PXC from 2012 to 2023. BMW has set up PXC support offices in Mianyang and Munich respectively with 17 fulltime experts and more than 100 background experts,
and hired McKinsey and Deloitte to help PXC Change Program. The Program held 44 Steering committees in different cities such as Munich, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenyang, Mianyang, Chengdu. It aimed to provide counterpart support for PXC all business sectors, including IT, HR, R&D, procurement, quality, manufacturing, finance, and marketing, branding and etc.
Mrs. Ilka Horstmeier, BoD member of BMW, attended PXC Change Program meeting. She was also the highest ranking BMW colleague who had participated in PXC meetings, advising on the technical and management issues related to BMW engine localization in Mianyang; Dr. Rainer Fuerer, senior vice president of BMW, led a team of 100 people to visit Mianyang in 2012. In December 2012, he attended the signing ceremony to license the production of BMW engines in Mianyang and he played an important role in providing financial support in 2021; Dr. Wolfgang Bluemlhuber, senior vice president of BMW, supported PXC crankshaft to improve OEE; Dr. Robert Engelhorn, senior vice president of BMW, supported the supply chain building. In total, PXC got more than 8 BMW senior vice presidents supporting, who have attended many support meetings, visited PXC Mianyang plant, attended SOP ceremony, and provided specific support to PXC.
