2022-12-13
On December 12, 2012, Munich, Germany, BMW Welt, BMW Group and PXC officially signed a project cooperation agreement, authorizing PXC to produce BMW N20 engine, internally code-named Bluesky Project. This is the first time in the century-old history of the BMW Group that it authorizes a company outside the system to produce BMW engines.
The Bluesky project was guided by BMW for project site selection, planning and design, staff training, etc. The construction period took 18 months to complete, fully reaching the time node authorized by BMW, and was praised by BMW as the PXC speed. The 75,000 units of N20 engines produced by the Bluesky project were installed on BMW brand vehicles. This is the first time in a century that BMW has used an engine produced by a company outside the system. PXC produces BMW engines outside the BMW system according to BMW's quality standards, with zero defects in quality, fully meeting BMW's quality requirements, and is recognized by BMW as a trustworthy partner. At the same time, BMW Group launched a comprehensive support for PXC.
